Interconnected Wireless Smoke Alarm Systems

Under NZS4514:2021 all newly built homes require interconnected smoke alarms installed In all bedrooms, living spaces, and hallways. There are also requirements as to where they must be situated within these spaces, maximum and minimum distances from walls, and a minimum distance from incoming air vents. These requirements have been pulled from NZS4512 a standard we have worked to in the commercial sector for many years.

If you would like to go a step beyond compliance we can offer heat detection for places like the garage or laundry, places where fires are common but smoke detection is not suitable due to false alarms caused by dust, exhaust fumes etc. These heat detectors will be integrated into the smoke detection system.
